Aisling Shawl Kit by Cecily Grove Yarns
This is the kit to make Aisling Shawl - a knitted shawl by Justyna Lorkowska using CGY Contessa.
Each kit includes 2 skeins of Contessa in the colourways Inez and Ocean as well as a copy of the Ravelry pattern
Contessa is a luxurious blend of ultrafine merino, silk and cashmere. The yarn has 2 plies and a medium twist. This combination allows room for the cashmere fibres to bloom and the merino fibres to plump up and support them. It is ideal for lace as the 2 plies roll away from each other to open up the lacework and reveal the pattern
Size
One Size: approx. 180 cm/72” wide and 46 cm/18” long at center.
Yarn
2 skeins of Contessa by Cecily Grove Yarns (75% merino, 15% silk, 10% cashmere; 400m/437y per 100g)
Needles (not included)
3.5 mm/US #4 circular needle (100 cm/40” long), or size needed for gauge.
Other (not included)
2 stitch markers, locking marker, 2 cable needles, tapestry needle for weaving.
Gauge
19 sts and 44 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage, so I strongly recommend making a swatch and adjusting the needle size as necessary.
