Swatching and Blocking and Gauge. Oh My!
This 2 hour class is all about the importance of swatching, blocking and measuring stitch gauge for knitted garments to ensure you create a garment that fits. We will also discuss how to block your finished project to ensure the best result.

Time: 1:30 - 3.30pm
Cost: $75 (You also receive a 10% discount on any purchases made in store on the day)
Materials Included: 1 ball of DK weight yarn
You will learn how to
- knit a swatch suitable for measuring
- wash and block your swatch
- measure your swatch
- adjust for differences in gauge
Preparation: Attendees will be required to knit a swatch with the yarn supplied and according to instructions that will be provided after booking this class. You can either pick up your yarn from the store or it will be posted to you. You will need to bring the completed swatch to the class. You will also need to bring a hand towel and a small, rigid ruler.
Terms and conditions: Classes can be booked online or in-store. There is a limited number of spaces in the class but we can add your name to a waiting list if a cancellation becomes available. Full payment is required when booking to confirm your space. All attendees will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination on entry to the store
Minimum numbers: All classes require a minimum of four people in order for it to go ahead. If your class does not have the minimum number of students, the class will be postponed and you will be notified within two days of the class date of the cancellation or change of date. We are not liable for any additional costs incurred if your class is postponed or cancelled. If your class is postponed or cancelled you can either transfer the amount paid to another class, use as a store credit or be issued a full refund. If you need to cancel, swap or postpone your attendance at a class, you can do so up to 7 days prior to the scheduled class date to receive a full refund. Less than 7 days notice, we cannot guarantee a full refund unless another booking fills your space. Once a class has started, we cannot provide a refund.
