Hedgehog Fibres Tweedy

Tweed DK yarn and the coloured bits are Hedgehog Fibres' own hand-dyed waste - the ties that they take off the hand dyed skeins. They save them very diligently and it's a total labour of love! HHF have been collecting the ties for a while and they finally found a mill that could process them, which means re-carding them, blending and spinning into yarn again. We now have this tweed yarn with colourful speckles in 6 beautiful shades

Hedgehog Fibres are always looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly and to minimise waste. On top of their thread waste they are using recycled wool, making 50% of the total content recycled. HHF love the result and so do we! It's soft, yet wooly. Not superwash and it blooms beautifully after washing.
